Who is your friend?

A friend who comforts your ego is dangerous than the enemy who challenges it.

People seek comfort as an end, oblivious to the truth that the very friends and family who soothe your ego and indulge your emotions only render you entitled and blind. They create a cocoon around you, inflating your ego until you see the world through their distorted lenses, never perceiving reality as it is. You accept their constructs of good and bad, right and wrong, without ever questioning their validity. This is the tragedy of human existence: we become prisoners of our comfort, losing the capacity for true self-enquiry.

One must break away from such friends that keeps you in the prison of comfort. One must break free from these ego feeders. Liberation begins with understanding that comfort is a deceitful trap, a false refuge that shields us from the raw, unfiltered process of life. Only in the absence of such illusory comforts can the mind be free to inquire, to explore the depth and beauty of reality untainted by others' perceptions.

Shun the voices that inflate your ego. Embrace the uncertainty and discomfort of true freedom. It is only in this state of pure enquiry that the mind can transcend the fabricated dualities of good and bad, right and wrong. Only then can we truly live, unburdened by the illusions imposed upon us by those who would rather see us confined than liberated.
