What is love? A subject equally exploited by religion, poets, and romantic partners. Is it an emotion, a feeling, a sensation? Or is it something much deeper, a state of being that transcends the ego and radiates your true essence?
We often mistake attachment, obsession and dependency for love, leading to conflicts and a sense of possession, offering no true freedom of being. Relationships founded on fear breed insecurity and a need for control. Love should not be about filling a psychological void.
Love, in its truest essence, is beyond physical and emotional sensation. It surpasses sensuality. These may be your ego's ways of expressing this phenomenal force, but they are not its totality.
Most of us are burdened by experiences of the past and expectations about the future. We can never be in love if not for this moment. Love is only possible at this very moment; neither in the past nor future. This very moment is the seat of love.
